CJ Sparxx is an incredible model referred to me by a mutual friend. What struck me immediately about CJ (besides her visual) was her honest candor and conversation. This woman is so confidant, and sure of herself, conversating with her was like a breathe of fresh air… We must have sat and chat for close to two hours… CJ is a 7x International Playboy Playmate and Cover model… the kind of model that can put butterflies in a grown man’s stomach, however her maturity made her so easy to talk with… when I learned she also previously hosted a show on Playboy Radio it made complete sense. She is clearly very used to putting people at ease for talk radio. Couple that with my conversational experience from the casting studio, and the two of us were chatting like old friends.
I had a great time shooting with CJ and look forward to producing more beautiful images, and completing other viable projects with her now, and in the near future. Enjoy her exclusive interview, and feature here on “The Model Everyone Wants” blog.
Q: Tell us CJ, how did you make the decision to move to LA and pursue your dreams?
A: I decided to move to LA on a whim... I was living a quiet life in Orange County where I had been living for almost 2 years after moving from Sacramento, and my gf who was my roommate moved back to Sacramento.
Q: Who’s career in entertainment do you most admire? And why?
A: I admire most a Bollywood actress by the name of Sunny Leone, she started in porn, and then went mainstream in major Bollywood films. No one does that, I think that’s so bad ass she actually pulled it off. I’m a huge fan of anything unconventional.
Q: What was the break out job for you, where you really started to believe in yourself?/ How did you know you could really have success in the entertainment industry?
A: I went to a modeling event in Mexico called “The International Bikini Model Search.” I shot for Playboy Mexico there, and from there, got my first publishing in Playboy.
Q: How would you like to see the next 5 years of your career play out for you?
A: I have no idea really.... I want to be happy, healthy and able to help others. I feel like this year is going to be a big year for me, and I’m ready for it. From there who knows. lol
Q: What are you doing today, to create your tomorrow?
A: Eating well, living right, and trying to follow up with as many people as possible which is HARD. haha
Q: What has been the most exciting thing about your professional journey?
A: When I was first published in Playboy... I had an ex who had (a few weeks before I left to shoot) sent me a nasty text, telling me how I was too old, and I’d been modeling for too long and to “stop chasing rainbows.” It was at that point where I said, I’m going to go and really do my best at this event. Not party, pack a ton of stuff for shooting, and really shoot as much as possible. And then if nothing happens then I’ll give it up. Well..... here we are!
Q: If you could magically time travel and be in any TV show/film, or have any actress or models career; What, or who would that be?
A: I’d love to be Angelina Jolie. She’s equal parts fucked up, insane, smart, stunning, hard working, relatable and involved with many charitable organizations. Whatever she’s done, I’ve always yearned to be a part of it.
Q: What’s the best advice someone has given you in this business?
A: Listen to your gut... your instincts are there for a reason. And ask questions, don’t be afraid to speak up!
Q: What advice would you give others?
A: Do your research, but don’t be afraid to take a chance! Follow your dreams, work hard, smart, and go at your own pace!
